Our work began in a shared classroom but it’s rooted in something much deeper: showing up for every student.
Brittany Wells and Skye Newell first crossed paths in an elementary school where they were assigned to share a classroom. Brittany, a school social worker with a foundation in special education, and Skye, a speech-language pathologist, found themselves not just sharing space, but sharing a calling. From the start, they were united by a simple belief: that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and that begins with access to care, connection, and people who truly see them.
As they worked side by side, Brittany and Skye saw where students were thriving and where they were being left behind. So they acted. They launched a scout troop to give over 30 girls a space to grow and lead. When a deaf student joined their school, they took a sign language class together. From the beginning, their partnership has been about noticing the need and choosing to meet it.
Through these early experiences, Brittany and Skye recognized a larger issue: schools needed more support—more qualified, caring professionals to meet the real, everyday needs of students. And they realized they could be part of the solution.
That’s why they founded BridgEd Potential, to bridge the gap between care and capacity, between intention and impact.
With more than 25 years of combined school-based experience, they created an agency that understands the pressures, the heart, and the hope that educators carry. One that uplifts professionals and serves students with dignity and purpose.
